What is Erectile Dysfunction?
No longer a topic that’s swept under the carpet, erectile dysfunction is a widely recognised problem that many men suffer from. It is basically the disruption of blood flow to the penis that prevents the male from gaining an erection when aroused and is most common in men over the age of 40, with an increased rate of sufferers as the age range increases.
What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?
The most common reason why men suffer from erectile dysfunction is poor health. As plain as it sounds, all the years leading up to 40 truly play a large part in determining whether you are going to be hit with ED or not. Keeping your body in great shape and eating the right foods whilst staying physically active is a sure way to reduce the chances of running into erectile dysfunction as you get older, as well as feeling great in your youth which is the way you should be.
There are other causes of ED that may be out of your control such as injuries to the pelvic area, damage to the spinal chord, Parkinson’s disease which can affect the blood flow to the penis. There are also non-physical issues such as stress, anxiety and depression that can contribute to erection problems.
